New Advertisement. COUNTY COUNCIL. Notice of intention to make By-Laws under the Ashburton County Council, Empowering Act, 1882. Notice is hereby given that at the .next ordinary meeting of the Ashburton County Council, to be held on WEDNESDAY, the 11th day of July, 1883, a resolution will be proposed, tesolving that, by special order, certain By-Laws shall bo ma e under the provisions of the Ashburton County Council Empowering Act, 1882. The objects of the proposed By-Laws are to-protect the races and other waterworks constructed or which may hereafter be constructed by the said Council within the County of Ashburton against trespasses and injuries of all descriptions ; to empower the Council to make and levy charges or rates for the maintenance and repair of such waterworks; and generally to secure the proper maintenance and administration of the said waterworks. A copy pf the proposed By-Laws is deposited at the office of the County Council, in the town of Ashburton, and may be inspected by the ratepayers of the County on any day, except Sunday, during office hours.
