Grand Fashionable Concert IN THE NEW ODDFELLOWS’ HALL, W EDNESDAY, JUNE 13. Features of the Programme. ORCHESTRAL. The Society, which has been eleven months in existence, has been in close practice during that period; From its extensive list of pieces four high-class overtures of great beauty and by recognised masters, have been selected for production at the Concert. In addition to the Society’s work it will supply accompaniments to the choruses. POPULAR MELODIES AND DANCE MUSIC. The much appreciated Kyle Violin Party, under Mr Gavin Louden, will contribute their admired selections. CHORUS. The Standard Glees will be performed by a strong well balanced Chorus. BRASS. Two new pieces for a light party of brass instruments will be given. SOLOS AND DUETS. These will be given by several ladies and gentlemen, friends of the Society, and whose music has ever been welcomed by Ashburton audiences. Amongst the soloists will be found some of whom Ashburton public will hear for the first time. BUFFO SONGS, &c.
