Mr Alfred -Harrison reports his weekly sale as follows ':; —Saturday, June 2.—Horses dull; cows sold very well, nearly all being sold ; pigs found a very good market, all lines being i cleared; fowls, as and 3s; ducks, 4s per pair. Implements were all cleared at fair prices; also light cart. and harness. Produce: Potastoes,. 50s per ton; chickwheat, 2s bushel; oats; 2s*; carrots, 303 per ton ; onions, id per lb ; tea, 21s (guaranteed). A most imposing array of furniture, carpets, pictures, and effects found a ready sale, every line offered being cleared. The attendance during the day was a very large one ' Mr T. Bullock reports of the Horse Market for the week ending June 2nd: There was about-ah average attendance, but only a small entry of horses, viz, 25, a large proportion of Which: were of a much better class than what lugi been brought forward for some time past, and for which there*was a very spirited bid* ding; especially for the superior draught stock, and if miners were more careful in Breeding as a’Rile, thpy would obtain better prices, as good draughts always command a ready sale, whereas inferior stock are difficult to get rid of even at low prices, as w& fully- demonstrated at today’s salt Out of the 25 entries 16 were sold at the following prices,* viz.;—Superior draughts, 135 10s, L 35 10s, L 36, with a good 'demand, iia met there were several buyers who he supplied; light draughts and ordinary plough horses, L 7 15s to LiS ; three-?* year-olds of rather a light description, Ly 10s toLifi 10s; 1 four-year-old- ditto, Ll 3 5 s J -ilmcks,.scrubbers, etc., which;were difficult' to * get rid b£ from Li 7s fid to L 5.
