Ford) report on the live stock market, etc., for the week ending Thursday, May iotb, iBB3, as follows; —A good supply of stock came forward -to ABmngtbn bn-Wednesday last, store sheep alone showing'paucity in point of numbers. Tbo;aUtttdance was fully up to the mark, and biddings .consequently .brisk. In fat sheep there were some splendid lines, notably a consignment firbin E.- Menlove, Esq.; Windsor Park, Camara, which were universally ad-mined;-and a grand line from Chatmoss. Station in? first-class fettle. Store sheep"wCrc not hugely'represented, and for the principal part were "bad culls, -Prime mutton we quote at 2%d per lb, firm; second-rate about 2d. Fat O cattle; Fairly good entry, prices about equal . to-last week’s qnotations. Ruling rates 20s to first quality. Store cattle; Plenty on offer, but sales dull,in the extreme; prices . about. , the same as last week.,:Pigs; Fair entry; good values obtaining. The .total .entrieswjjm -as follows :-rrS» S9^: sheep,. ,547 head of and 385 pigs. Our entries were on accent of the Coldstream estate, the. Chatmoss estate, Messrs H. P. Lance, C. Ensbr, E.. MenldVe. J. McMorran, Raine, Jambs Johns, JoW Pannett, W. Pannett, W- B. Clarkson, Jones and others.' Mr Menlbve’s consignment was a grand line of crossbreds, ■ and they were eagerly competed foiy 18m fid all round being the price realised. The Chatmoss, crossbreds were also splendid mutton, and sold at 17s fid and 17s 9d*' The ■ Caldstrcam line of crossbreds were a; nice even lot,,and brought 15s gd, 1633 d, and 17s, 3d, MV Ensor’s'j crossbreds sold_ at Iss 6d and, 15s, pd. Other lines sold equal to bur quotations. AtTinwald, Oh Tuesday last, we had a fairly good .entry, but the sale was a slow and dragging one Mutton. .sold at Slid -per, lb. .store sheep .difficult to quit. Beef'abbut ’equal' to last report. - At our usual Thursday’s sale we sold butchers’ crossbred skins at 2s lid, 3s id, 3s Sd, 3s fid, and 3s : lid /and specially heavy, 6s; ditto merino, 2s lod, 3s 2d,- 3s fid. - Rough fat, and 2jfcd for good, id to 2d-inferior.
