ONE’S NEW ZEALAND Herbal Eemedies. DIARRHO3A., DYSENTERY, &c., Completely conquered by Monk’s Herbal Extract (Registered), Price 3s 6d and 4s per bottle. The above “Extract” is one of the most marvellous discoveries of the age. Its effects are instantaneous, and never fail in chronic or acute cases, however severe. The great properties of this medicine consist in its never producing costivoness, no matter how freely used, and its being perfectly harmless and purely herbal, yet curing Diarrhoea, Dysentery; English Cholera, etc., with the greatest certainty. Sir,— Having carefully examined the N.Z. Herbal Extract, I find it to be a skilfully prepared vegetable preparation, possessing the properties of the plants from which it is derived in a highly concentrated state, a fact which I hare verified by evaporating a fluid drachm placed in a watch glass over a spirit lamp. On weighing the result, a dark green extract, 1 found the weight to be 14£ grains. On further submitting the extract to analysis .1 found it to be rich in tannin. In a large number of cases of ordinary diarrhoea, as wgll as in qiany chronic cages and in dysentery, lhave proved it to possess great specific control, added to the unusual feature in a majority of diarrhoea medicines, that it does not subsequently constipate the bowels. £ feel satisfied that, from the number of trials I have been enabled to make of it in a somewhat extensive practice, it is a most valuable addition to modem therapeutics. The following cases are taken at random from my note book : Case No. I—Mrs M , West Eyreton, suffering for two years from chronic dysentery, which had reduced her almost to a skeleton. After a fortnight’s trial not only had the diarrhoea stopped, but she commenced eating meat without pain, and the usual concomitant vomiting. In two months she had gained ISlbs weight. Case No. 2—A G., child, aged five years. Fortnight diarrhea. Was effectually cured on third day. Case No. 3—A soldier who had contractsd’dysentery in India got a small two ounce phial, and was well before he had finished half of it. TESTIMONIALS. Bangiora, July 7, 1881.

Dear Sir, —Thanks tor the medicine you were kind enough to send me. I have only to say that in my case—a severe attack of neuralgia in the head—it afforded me considerable relief. It has also the advantage of not being in the least nauseous, like most remedies. I remain, dear sir, yours faithfully, A. Kennedy. Mr H. D. Monk. Sole Wholesale and Retail Agent for " .
