Auditors’ Report. We have audited the balance-sheet of Borough of Ashburton for the year ending 31st March, 1883, and have compared it with the vouchers and Bank pass book, also with the dog register and collars on hand, rate-books, and list of arrears of rates, reserves book, and list of arrears of rents, and find the same to be in order and the balance correctly stated. ■ Wo would suggest that the list of arrears of rates prior to 1883 and the arrears of rents be placed in the hands of the Borough Solicitor for collection, in order to make the check on the books complete. We have much pleasure in bearing testimony to the excellent manner in which the Borough accounts have been kept. Ashburton, 21st April, 1883. W. H. GUNDRY) ALFBED CURTIS ] | Auditors. }3. 980 To Let. TO LET—Two 4-roomed HOUSES, near Woollen Factory. 976 MITCHELL & TURNER.
