The Champion Trading Eace, for vessels of 50 tons and over, terminated by Three Cheers (lOhrs lOmin) coming in first; Winifred (lOhrs 60mins), second ; and Fanny Tho rnton (llhrs 65mins), third The Annie Wilson, which was first favorite, finished last. The wind was very light at the start, but freshened in the afternoon. The positions of the vessels changed several times, Winifred, Three Cheers, and Fanny Thornton being first in turns. In the-Trading Cutter Race, Bangitira (lOhrs 49min Baecs) was first; Rose, (lOhrs 60min 7secs), second; Deveron (lOhrs 62mina llsecs), third ; Sovereign of the Seas (llhrs 35mins ssecs), fourth. For trading vessels other than cutters, Mary Hogan (llhrs 4lmins IBsecs) wonA Big Land Transaction. Dunedin, To-day. Messrs Whitaker and Russell have purchased, at ten shillings an acre. Major Wilson’s property known as Ramgoroa No. 2, consisting ef 47,000 acres.
