ENGLAND v. AUSTRALIA. I [reuter’s telegrams—copyright.] Sydney, Yesterday. The cricket match between the Australian Eleven and the Hon. Ivo Bligh’s team was resumed hers to-day. Fully 2in of rain fell yesterday, and the wicket to r day was very heavy. The Australians, with one wicket down and 133 runs to their credit, continued their first innings with Bannerman and Murdoch at the wickets. The latter was disposed of for 19, having only added 2 to his score of Saturday. . Bannerman continued his excellent play, but was ultimately caught, his score being 94. With the exception of Horan, who made 19, and Blackham 27, none of the remaining batsmen reached double figures, and the wickets ■ fell rapidly. The total score amounted to 218.
