Ashburton Guardian Office, Monday Afternoon. Allred Harrison reports his weekly, sale as follows —Saturday, Jan. 27th. Very few entries of any kind of stock; several horses were sold, also one or two cows. Two pens of pigs sold at high prices, and many enquiries were made for more. Fowls, 2s 6d ; ducks, 4s 3d per pair. A quantity of tea and sundries in the estate of W. H. Gundry sold well. There was a very fair attendance, but all cleared out remarkably early, as much as to say—“ Crops 1”
