[REUTER’S TELEGRAMS —COPYRIGHT.] Shipping. Melbourne, Saturday; Sailed, this evening—Tarawera, for the Bluff. [Received Jan. 29, 12 50 p.m.] The Dunedin Municipal Frauds. Melbourne, To-day. Mr Gibson, town clerk of Dunedin, has arrived, and is enquiring into the alleged frauds in connection with the Municipal bonds. So far as is known, there is no reason to believe that further frauds have been committed beyond those already brought to light. A Gold Mine Flooded. Intelligence has been received that the Wangilogong gold mine is flooded. The men who were at work at the time of the influx succeeded in escaping, and no loss of life has occurred. Adelaide, Saturday.-. Arrived, this morning—Messageries Maritime Company’s steamship Caledonian, from Marseilles. [Received Jan. 29, 12.30 p.m.] Sydney, To-day. Arrived, yesterday morning—Rotomahana, from Auckland. Inscribed Stock Bill. A Bill providing for the issue of inscribed stock has passed the Legislative Assembly. The Weather. Very heavy rain fell here during the whole of yesterday.
