Information has been received here from Collingwood that the Golden Ridge had cleared up one hundred and sixty-two ounces of retorted gold from seventy-two tons. A dividend of sixpence per share was declared. The mine is rsported to be looking well. The San Francisco Mail Service.

Messrs Gamble and Ormshead, representatives the Pacific Mail Company, had an interview with the Premier this morning regarding the renewal of the San Francisco mail service. Nothing, however, can be done until it is ascertained whether the New South Wales Government are willing to commence negotiations. A cable has been sent to the latter asking what they intend to do in the matter.
