LAND SALE.
A sale of Crown lands was held to-day at the Town Hall by Mr Marshman, the Crown Lands Commissioner. There was only a limited attendance ; still, the prices realised must be considered very satisfactory. The Ashburton town sections elicited some little competition. They were nearly all situated on the west side of the town. The following is a list of land sold and the prices realised :
