The curator of intestate estates is not able to find more than LI6O of this money. , Sudden DeathWilliam Coombe, a well-known builder, died suddenly yesterday. Suicide of a Storeman. Gretmouth, To-day. John Wallace, storeman for Mr Felix Campbell, was found hanging in the Store when it was opened this morning. Deceased was a fine, strong, steady man, but had not felt well lately, and had been heard to say he would never be a burden on aoe'ety by a long illness. He is supposed to have committed suicide uhdbt the impression that he was going .to he ill. A Mayoral Election Declared Void. Westport, To-day. The Resident Magistrate to-day declared the late Mayoral election void. At the election the figures were :—Houlden, 73 ; Carr, 72 ; informal, 8. The per centage of informal votes created surprise, as it was supposed that the Returning Officer had disallowed papers which were crossed diagonally, also others with a simple downstroke instead of the name being erased horizontally. On a scrutiny by the R. M. this proved to be the case in three instances. Hence the election was declared void. Sporting. Waimaxb, To-day.
