The total quantity of wheat afloat for: Great Britain is 2,330,000 There is a fair demand for all kinds bf Australian hides, but prices are unchanged. Tonquin. ... Paris, Doj. 16. The statement that the expedition to Tonquin has been abandoned hjr the Cabinet is incorrect. It is no* known that consideration of the project has only been postponed, and that it' will be brought up again. The Minis' ter of Marine has withdrawn his resignation. The Native Tribunals. Cairo, Dec. 16; Lord Dufferin has laid before the Egyptian Government a scheme for the reform of the native tribunals.
