Hampton Court in Flames. London, Dec. 14. A terrific fire broke out last night at Hampton Court, and is still burning, all efforts to stay the progress of the flames having so far proved unsuccessful. The whole of the east end of the building has been destroyed, and it is feared that further destruction will result.

The fire at Hampton Court has now been subdued, and the destruction has been confined to the private apartments

of the Palace, all the public portions having been saved. [Received Dec. 15, 12.20 p.m.] Farl Derby on the Egyptian Question. Earl Derby addressed a large public meeting at Manchester last evening. In the course of his speech he referred at length to the Egyptian question, and repudiated the idea of an English force remaining in Egypt a moment longer than was necessary.A Heavy Snowfall. A fresh heavy fall of snow has been experienced in the West and North of England, and traffic is entirely suspended in several places.
