Legislative Assembly for Illawarra took place to-day, and resulted in the return . of Mr Stewart by a large majority. The Hon. Jas. Watson (Colonial Treasurer) ;■ and Dr RenWick, who were recently .defeated at the elections for Young and East Sydney constituencies respectively, were again rejected. Cricket. ' [Received Dec. 11, 1.30 p.m.j ■ In the cricket match at Newcastle t between a local eighteen and the English Eleven, the latter in their first innings scored 339, as against 67 scored ■by the Newcastle team. When time I ' was called, the latter had put together 54 for fifteen wickets, and the match was drawn in favor of the Englishmen. The .following are the scores:— (■ Eighteen : First innings, 67.
