RAKAIA ANNUAL SPORTS.
To the Editor. Sir, —As you allowed “ Spero ” (I should like to know his popular as well as his scientific name) to cast a reflection on .the, Oddfellows’ Lodge at Bakaia in your issue of Saturday, in his letter re annual sports, will you kindly publish, fur his information, the following resolution of the sports committee at its final meeting: Resolved—“ That it is desirable to abandon the whole project of holding the sports proposed to be held on Boxing Day, in consequence of the grumbling of a few querulous individuals circulating a report of intended misappropriation of the funds by the Lodge.” I think this resolution is “ made very plain,” but if not sufficiently so further particulars can be had on application to yours truly, who is not ashamed of the name of Caleb Tucker.
