Public notice is hereby given that the Road Board for the Longbeach district propose, under and pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1880, to STOP the following roads, viz. ; —All those parcels of land being road reserves in the Longbeach Road district, Coumy of Ashburton, containing 44 acres and 32,perches or thereabouts, be the same more or less, as shown on the map or plan of the Chief Surveyor of the Land District of Canterbury, setting out and describing the aforesaid road reserves in the said county. Extending from the junction of roads at rural sections 20242, 20245, 6793, 8417, southwards, to to the junction of roads at rural section 21581 ; also from the junction of roads at the north-west corner of rural section 31311, eastwards, to the River Ashburton at the north-east corner of rural section 22619 ; also from the junction of roads at the north-west corner of rural section 25702, eastwards, to the River Ashburton at the north-east corner of the said rural section 25702, and to make the following road, viz.;—All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 31 acres 1 rood and 10 perches or thereabouts, be the. same more or less, being part of the sections numbered 22539, 6793, 8417, 8450, 6793, 6787, 8342, 8451, 6788, 21581 on the map or plan of the Chief Surveyor of the Land District of Canterbury, setting out and describing the rural land in the Ashburton County, commencing at a point being the junction of roads at the north-west extremity of rural section 22539, and extending southwards through sections 22539, 6793, 8417, 8450, b793,,0787, 8342, 8451, 6788, 21581, 23702,.t0 the road running east and west ‘at the southern extremity of rural section 23702, having a width of 100 links 'throughout. AND NOTICE is further given that a plan has been prepared of the said roads proposed to be STOPPED, and a survey made, and a plan prepared of the said road to be made, showing the lands through which they pass, and the names of the occupiers and owners of such lands, and that the said plana are on view at the office of the Longbeach Road Board, on the Longbeach road, near Winslow.
