[REUTER’S TELEGRAMS —COPYRIGHT.] Parliamentary. Sydnbv, Yesterday. Parliament was dissolved to-day, and writs have been issued for a general election, which will be concluded before the close of the year. Nomina tions for the Sydney constituencies will be made on the 28th inst. Cricket. Albany, Yesterday. The cricket match between the English team and twenty-two of the Sandhurst concluded to-day. The weather was fine, and the attendance of spectators was again large. The visitors, with six wickets down, and thirty-six runs to ttieir credit, continued their first innings, which closed for 117. S. F. A. Leslie, 48, not out, was highest scorer. The home team then commenced their second innings, and were all disposed ot for 119. The Englishmen then went in, and at the conclusion of the day’s play had scored 28 runs without the loss of a wicket. Being a two days’ match, the game was drawn, the visitors requiring to make 75 runs to win. Wool. During the past week the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company have offered 2,230 bales at their wool sales, of which 1,900 were sold at prices which were considered satisfactory. There has been a good attendance of buyers, and a brisk competition was experienced. Good qualities are about the same as at last sales. Coarse and inferior crossbreds, in sympathy with the London market, are a shade weaker.
