Canterbury Jockey Club racing rules strictly adhered to. 4. A district horse shall mean any horse that has been common!y resident in the Ashburton County previous to August Ist, 1882, and up to the date of the forthcoming meeting, and owned by a person who has resided in the said County during the same period. 5.
