The Metropolitan Meeting was con--1 tinned to-day under very unfavorable circumstances, the weather being dull and co’d, with, heavy rain from the southwest ; but the attendance, considering the i weather, was very good. Lady Emma and Tasman got all the beat of the start, and Tasman soon went to the front, and, although Emir Bey and Lady Emma made a splendid race of it up the straight, Tasman won by two lengths, Lady Emma being a good third.
