Ashburton Guardian Office, ( Monday Afternoon. Mr Alfred Harrison reports his weekly sale as follows : —Saturday, Nov 4. Next to nothing done to-day in cattle and horses, in consequence of the heavy rain, entries were numerous, but did not come forward, Produce : Potatoes, L 5 to Ly per . ton; chick wheat, 2s to 3s 6d per bushel; crushed barley, 3s 6d per bushel. A large quantity of harness and saddlery sold well, also a lot of hardware and garden implements. The rooms were well attended, and considering the weather (which most people are aware, was kind of soft), a capital sale was made.
