RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. There must be three or more entries . for each: event or there will be no race. 2. No entry will be received except on the condition 'that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the ‘Stewards, or whom they may J appoint; their decision on a)l points connected with carrying out the above programme tp : be,final. 3. Canterbury Jockey Club racing rules strictly adhered to. 4. A district horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident in the Ashburton County previous to August Ist, 1882, and up to the date of the forthcoming meeting, and owned by a person who has resided in the said County during the same period. ■ 5. Qualification fee, £2 2s; members of the A.R.C. free, 6. All entries and nominations to be accompanied by entrance fees, name and age of’ Horse, and colors of rider, and in tilt nanda of the Secretary, addressed to Quill’s Hotel, not later than 9 p.m. on WEDNESDAY, November Ist; weights will be published on Monday, November 13 th. 7. Acceptances and sweeps to be paid to the Secretary not later than 9 p. m. on Thursday, November 16th. 8.
