r '—; —r- : 1 ' A meeting cf the above was held this ' * afternoon at Messrs Matson, Cox and Co.’s offices, Mr 0. P. Cox in the chair. The y forthcoming Show was discussed. The I chairman, said he had visited both the Christchurch and Titnara Shows, and he '-found that at both places the dinner in dispensed with, and in- i stead a substantial lunch was provided. Tt« would- suggest that there should be a .. lunch on the table at the ensuing Show 'from 1-30 p.m. to 8.30 p.ro., and this ■■ would give the judges plenty of time to , f,conclusion of the judging. He thought that the lunch might well take place this ■ year instead of the ordinary dinner. The question having been discussed, it was resolved that, the dinner v .-''take place ' this year as nsiial/'and the' arrangements in connec;;tioh' therewith were left in the hands bf 'the ’ iiectetary and treasurer. The aecro- * tiryTeported having arranged with the .tn&sij' Band tb put in an appearance, and 1 'his action ‘ was approved. Mr Bullock was requested to dispose of the privileges ’ inConnection with the show at the same ‘ time as he-sold the racing privileges for the A.R.C. Spring Meeting. The luncheon for the judges and committee on the ground was'left to the treasurer and secretary to' arrange for. It was resolved, ..CO the motion of Mr Bullock, that the liehow be advertised in the local papers twice and in the Christchurch papers once.
