With-the double ma- - chine such, as we saw running in the Third Avenue stables, two men can easily cle<!n IfiO horses in 10 bouts, and the work is better than that done by hand, ’where - only 10 horses a day are cleaned.! The / - working of the machine is perfectly simple - ■ and easily acquired •by any intelligent groom' after a few days practice. The doable machine now on exhibition consists of a driving shaft' suspended orer- ' head in hangers, to each end of which are coupled, by a universal joint of great jdovelty and flexibility, which is the most ’ remarkable feature of this machine, pendant arms composed of three joints anala i> < gous to the human arm, within which, ' " Shaft* revolve by which the cylindrical . Mush attached to the last joint is rapidly : tamed at the rate of eight hundred or a - ’ 1 thousand revolutions per minute.
