Clerk of the Course—Mr M. Winter. Clerk of the Seales—Mr J. C. Bell. Starter—Mr W. Simpson. Handicappers—Messrs M. Stitt, H. T. Winter, and S. Saunders. Stewards—Messrs H. T. Winter, M. Stitt, S. Saunders, W. B. Denshire, E. G. Crisp, W, Simpson, and J. 0. Bell. The first race to start at 12’noon. L The Hunt Club Cup (hauaicun'. value 15 Bovs ; nomination, 1 sov ; accept ance, 1 sov, to go to the second horse. Two miles. 2. Maiden Steeplechase, for a piece of plate value 10 sovs ; weight for age ; nomination, 1 sov; for horses that •have never started in an advertised race, otherwise than Hack Races. One mile and a half.' 3. Faemees’ Steeplechase (Handicap), for a piece of plate value 10 sovs ; nomination, 10s fid ; acceptance, 10s fid. One mile and a half. 4. Tally-Ho Cdp (Handicap), value 10 sovs; nomination, 10s fid ; acceptance, 10s fid. Horses to be ridden by members who have never previously ridden in an advertised race. One mile ipid a half. 5. Consolation Steeplechase (Handicap), for a piece of plate value 7 sovs; nomination, 10s fid ; acceptance, 10s fid. For all beaten horses at the meeting. One mile and a half. 6. A Dead .Hunt round the Steeplechase course, will take place at the conclusion of the races. Rules. All nominations must be lodged with the Secretary at Quill’s Hotel not later than, 9 p.m., on TUESDAY, August 1, 1882. Weights for Hunt Club Cup be published on SATURDAY, sth August, 1882 $land acceptances must he made to Secretary not later than 9 p.m., on TUESDAY, Bth August, 1882. Weights for all, other Handicaps will be declared on the day of the races, and acceptances must ne made fifteen minutes before starting. All horses to be firstly, the properly of members of the Ashburton County Hunt Club; secondly, ridden by members of the Club, who have regularly hunted with the A. C. H. C. Hounds ; thirdly, to have been fairly hunted three times with the A. O. H. 0. Hounds during this season. The meeting to be under the management of. the Stewards, and their decision on all points, affecting the races to be final.
