Prospectus. ’prospectus S OF THE ASHBURTON STOCK AND COUNTY 1 SALEYARDS COMPANY, Limited (To be incorporated under the Joint Stock Companies Act, 188 .) CAPITAL £6,000, IN GOO SHARES OF £lO EACH. It is proposed to form the above Company- for the purpose of providing sufficient yard accommodation for the Sale of Sheep, Cattle, and other Stock, the present yards being quite insufficient for the constantly increasing requirements of the trade. The Company therefore purpose to take over the present County Saleyards and enlarge them, or to erect new ones. It is further intended to erect suitable yards on the South side of the Ashburton. . From the great increase in the stock 1 brought forward, since the erection of the County Saleyards, and from the fact of the Christchurch Saleyards Company now f aying equal to 18 per cent., the Provisional Directors confidently anticipate that the above will shortly prove a most remunerative iftulertaking, anjl the promoters desire 10 enlist the sympathy and co-operation of as many persons interested in stock in the district as possible. Applications for Shares will be received up to 15th August ; 5s will be payable on, application, 5s on allotment, 10s per Share three months after allotment, and, if found necessary, calls of 10s per share *will be made at intervals of not less than three monthS.
