A Doc Trap.— Having suffered severely from the depredation? of dogs upon his sheep-fold, a farmer up North built around a number of sheep that the dogs had killed an enclosure of rails 12ft high and about 10ft square,, the sides of the trap sloping inward until an opening was left at the lop of the rails about 6ft square. Any dog could easily climb such a sloping fence and enter tbe pen, but not even a greyhound could jump out of it. In three nights the farmer claimed 46 dogs, including 15 or 20 that had never been seen before in the neighborhood.
