POULTRY, PIGEON, AND CANARY SHOW.
* The Show was again on view to-day, but the weather has not been all that could have been desired, and consequently the attendance has not reached the anticipated number, so far, that is. However, the Show is sure ti be well patronised this evening, when the exhibits to be disposed of by lot (and not by art union, as stated in our last issue), will be distributed. The following is a completed list of the special prizes, including the winners of the silver cups (1) Champion cup, for the largest prize taker in all classes, confined to exhibitors resident within the Ashburton county—S. E. Poyntz, with forty points ; silver cup for best pair barndoor fowls— T. Williams, Timvald ; silver cup, for best pair of Antvverps (pigeons)—A. Walker, Christchurch ; silver cup, for the largest prize taker in canaries—T. and J. Stapleton, twelve points (S. E. Poyntz ran the winners very hard, as he scored eleven points in this competition ; silver cup for best carrier or dragoon —S. E. Poyntz ; special prize of 10s 6d for best cage of four canaries—R. Patterson, Ashburton ; special prize of 10s fid for best colored Dorking hen—G. M. Bruce, Timaru; special prize of 10s fid for best Houdan, under twelve months, in show —R. Patterson, Ashburton ; special prize of 10s fid for best pair ducks in show—J. H. Smith, Flemington; special prize of 10s fid for best game bird in show—A. Walker, Christchurch; special prize of 10s fid for best barb (pigeon)—J, Permain; silver cup for best Belgian canary—S. E. Poyntz ; silver cup for best green canary—S. E. Poyntz ; special prize of 21s for best Brahma—S. E. Poyntz ; special prize of 10a fid for best Spanish bird—A. Walker ; special prize of 10s fid for beat pair of black crested game birds —R. Hart, Ashburton ; special prize of 10a fid for best pair of gold pencilled Hamburghs—B. Verdon Christchurch ; special prize of 10a fid for beat pair of fantaila (pigeons)—A. Walker, Christchurch ; Silver cup for best pair tumblers (pigeons) in show—J. Permain.
