Geo. Louis, charged with stabbing the mate on board the barque Chili, got one month’s imprisonment. Supreme Court Deferred Sentences. Christchurch, To-day.
The following sentences were delivered at 'the Supreme . Court to-day Victor Perez, indecent assault, 4-years; John Young, indecent assault, 12 months and 20 lashes ; Geo. Hall, indecent assault, 3 months and 10 lashes. The Lucky Darkies. Nelson, To day. Je Whiti and Tohu are at present staying at the Trafalgar Hotel, pending the preparation of a house which is being got ready for them in one of the suburbs.
