Bolton, sentenced to ten years imprisonment for forgery and horse stealing. Drowned. The timber remained in the hold of the vessel, which was driven ashore a few miles north of the East Cape. Tried to Throw Him Overboard. Wanganui, To-dsy.

Two seamen, named Boyd and Redmond, assaulted Captain Pope, on Board the steamer Tui, in the Wanganui river, on Saturday night, and tried to throw him overboard. They wore brought up at the It. M. Court this morning and re* manded. Censured. The assessors gave judgment in re the collision of the schooner E. and U. Cameron, of Lyttelton, and the steamer Clyde, trading to Patea, blaming both captains, and censuring Captain Ronner of the steamer. The certificates to be returned and costs paid equally by each captains. Fire at Tomahawk. Dunedin, To-day.
