Corn Exchange report for the week ending Friday evening, the 9th inst.—Business dining the past week has been exceedingly quiet; values are practically unchanged ; ho'ders of all classes of produce are firm in their demands. —Wheat ; Good milling quality is worth from 4s lod to $s id, f.o.b. ; second Quality, 4s 3d t 0 4s 6d per bushel; chick wheat, 3s 3d to 4s oer bushel ; seed wheat, 5 s 3d to 5 s 4d per - bushel.—Oats ; The market continues flat, but there is no quotable change to report in values. Buyers are dubious about increasing stocks, while at the same time they are unwilling to part under full values. Good plump milling oat? are worth 3s 3d per bushel; feed samples, 3s. to'3s Id per bushel. —Barley: A slightly better demand has shown itself during the week, without, however, any quotable advance in prices. Prime malting quality will find buyers at from 4? 6d to 4s yd per bushel; second quality malting, 3s 6d to 4s per bushel; feed, 3s to 3s 6d per bushel.—Beans and Peas : The former are worth from 4s 4d to 4 s 6d per bushel; the latter, 4s to 4s 6d. Potatoes : Business during the week has been inactive. Telegraphic advices from Sydney report a considerable fall in prices theie. Sales have been effected at 35 s P er f° n a * out stations within ten miles of Christchurch. —Grass seed: Little or no business is being done in this article. Prices nominal.—Cheese and butter : The former is worth from to 6d per lb ; the latter, is to is 2d per lb.
