London, May 22. There has been considerable discussion lately in the Press of Madrid on the financial policy of the country, and an agitation in favor of free trade has been started in the Spanish capital. Owing to the stringent measures intro* duced by the Government for the repression of crime in Ireland, considerable anxiety is felt for the personal safety of members of the Ministry, In order to guard against murderous attacks upon them by the Irish in London, they are vigilantly guarded by police.
