BOROUGH COUNCILNOTICE. At a special meeting of tho Ashburton Borough Council, to be held on MONDAY, the 12th day of June, 1882, at the Council Chamber, Burnett street, Ashburton, at 7 o’clock in the evening, the said Council will consider the repeal of By-law No. 55, and the substitution in lieu thereof of the following by-law, that is to say : I “If any cattle shall at any time be found feeding, grazing, or wandering in any street or public place within the Borough, whether the same shall or shall not be attended by or in the charge of any person or persons, the owner thereof shall be guilty of an offence, and notwithstanding the liability of any person to a penalty under this by-law any officer of the said Council or any police constable may seize and impound such cattle.
