■r ;: Mr T. Bullock reports for the week ending .•'May 37th :— Horse Market—At the Bazaar, s ‘ BurheEt street, on Saturday, 5 1 horses were : '’ entered for the day’s sale, a very large proportion of which were of a very inferior description. .There was a large attendance, and for .. good, useful farm horses the biddings were spirited ; but for aged horses, inferior draughts, 8 in factj for all inferior horses, there was no de- { thand whatever, and those that were disposed were sold at very low prices indeed. It is a wonder where so many scrubbers come from ; it appears that farmers and others owning such are very desirous to get rid of them at any price rather than keep them on their farms ; consequently there are a great number of this description offered. Hacks —A few were offered, but there appears to he no demand at ‘present; a few inferior changed hands, lout at ' low prices. Out of the total number entered (SI).
