William Blick came into town today in order to be present at the Agricultural Show, and act as one of the judges. As he was walking down High street to the place where the Show was being held, he was’met by a friend, to whom he remarked —' ‘ I think I am going to have a fit.” The words were scarcely out of his mouth when he fell backward’ ‘bn to the ground. He was carried into the Club Hotel, and Dr Cleghorn sent, for, who, on arrival, pronounced life to be extinct. The cause of death was heart disease. Deceased -was well-known throughout the district. Another Gone. ■ , Timaku, To-day. The chief officer of the wrecked vessel City of Perth, S. Blacklock, who had his legs Smashed on board the vessel on Sunday morning, died in the Hospital this morning. His right leg had been amputated, but erysipelas set in and caused death.
