ASHBURTON LIBRARY SITE.
To the Editor.
. Sib, —My vote as an elector assisted ir placing Mr Alfred Harrison in the . > Borough Council; still, I confess lam sur prised at his inconsistency regarding the Libiary site. He attended a large public . meeting of ratepayers, when the almost , ... unanimous vote of his constituents deter- , . : mined where the site should be, but not a single word of dissent falls from him until the first meeting of the Council, when. he strongly opposes the resolution of the . public. Now, Sir, when his next election takes place, I, for one, will decline to be .the means'of assisting him to adorn the Council table with his presence and ora- • tory.—l am, etc.. Ratepayer.
