[fer ukutkr’s agency.] Breadstuffs. Melbourne, Yesterday. Breadstuff's are now very firm. A Maori Deputation. The deputation of Maoris from Auckland, to present a petition to the British Parliament, left here for England to-day in the Orient steamship Cotopaxi. Alarming. A report is current that an outbreak of smallpox has occurred at Carlton. The doctors, however, differ as to the exact nature of the disease, which they believe to be only a case 'of chicken pox.
