Mails close at the Ashburton Post Office j»" follows: — Saturday, May 20. For the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, Continents of Europe and America, West Indies, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c., as follows :— Ordinary letters at 10.30 a.m. Supplementary mails for despatch per ixpress train will close at sp. m., and .’ate fee letters may be posted in the mail van up to the departure of the train. For Christchurch and North at 6.30 a. m. 10.30 a.m., and 5 p.m., dailyFor Chertsey Rakaia, &c., at 10.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. i For Dunedin, Tinwald, Winslow, Hinds, Coldstream, Rangitata, Orari, Winchester, and Geraldine, at 10 a.m. daily. ' For Temuka, at 6.30 a.m. and 10 a.m., For Timaru and South, at 6.30 a.m., 10 Am.', and 4.30 p.m., daily. •“ For Grecnstreet, Ashburton Forks, Mount Somers, and Ashburton Gorge, on Tuesdays and Fridays, at 10.30 a.m. For Ashton, Water ton and Longheach, at 4.30 p.m. daily. ; For Flemington, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, at 4.30 p.m. , For Wakanui, Elgin, Seafield, New--land, and Kyle, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, at 6.30 a.m. ..Mails arrive at the Ashburton Post From Christchurch and Rakaia at 10.25 in., 4.40 p.m., and 7.50 p.m. From Chertsey, &c. at 10.25 a.m. and 4.40 p.m. daily.
