The Company is proposed to be formed for the establishment of a Woollen Fac- ” tory, for the purposes of providing a local for wool grown in the district; of I converting the wool into manufactured " gpods, and of selling such goods wholesale a ‘‘brother wise. The promoters have arranged for the purchase, at a reasonable price, of a suitable site with water power, on the bank of the Ashburton river, about threequarters of a mile from the township, and arrangements have been made for the construction of a water-race through the fend for the purpose of working the ma--1 chinery.
