Upper Ashburton Road Board. —The ordinary monthly meeting of this Board was held on Monday, the 24th. Present —Messrs D. M'Lean (Chairman), 0. J. Harper, and M. Stitt. Messrs iMiles and Co asking the Board if the piece of land required for a road through section No 29902. would still be required. Tho clerk to reply in the negative, as another lino of road was contemplated. The Clerk was requested to see Mr Sealey relative to planting tho piece of land applied for adjoining tho Board’s reserve No 1928 Alford Forest Road. Ho was also instructed to have the fence of the reservo at Tinwald put in order, and also 1 1 allow no stock in the paddocks.' ♦The Clerk was instructed to still use Ills ' best endeavors towards getting in rates, \ and to make out a list of defaulting rato« ; ;if payers, and use the necessary means to % compel payment.
