THE WESLEYAN CONFERENCE.
[from our own correspondent.] [by telegraph.] Christchurch, To-day. An application for readtnission into the ministry was made on behalf of Mr Reeve, of Wellington, but after a discussion it was withdrawn. The case of L. Isitt, who had married during his probation, was settled by the Conference excusing it. This was a sur prise to some, as an exchange of circuits, on account of ill-health, will have now to be made, to the displacement of a minister who was invited there. The obituaries of the Revs. J. B. Richardson and J. Armitage were read and passed, after which the mixed Conference opened, and the questions relating to the division of circuits and alterations of boundaries came under consideration. A long discussion as to whether Waikato should be divided into two or three circuits resulted in its being divided into two. New Plymouth and Kaipara are also divided, and Malvern made a Home Mission Station.
