Special First at the Melbourne Exhibition. The competitors of the “Wood,” being dissatisfied with their defeat at the trial, appealed to the Commissioners of the Exhibition for another trial. This being granted, a second trial was held on December 23 last, at Rochester,' Australia, when their Machine was again victorious, competing against the McCormick, Osborne, and Deering Twine Binders.
