White clover was deareV, especially for fine qualities, which, however, were' very difficult to obtain. BecoiftfEharp : frosts had not, as was anticipated, materially increased supplies whiclj, coupled with some enquiries for fine sheds, had, tended to make holders firmeiv Alsyh® had been, the medium of business, and must also be noted death*, fine qualities being scarce and readily sold. Trefoil was quiet but firm. Timothy was somewhat cheaper, and the same, may be said of canary and hemp. Italian and perennial rye grasses were rather neglected, but there were no Alteration in values. The imports into the United Kingdom of clover and grass during the month of October were against 16,069 cwts for October, 1880.
