Produce. —Potatoes (old), very Httle Bi|le at 40s, as new kinds grown in , 1 distnct are almost ready for market itf quantity. Chick wheat, 2a 6d ; feed ;Vbarteyj, 2s 6d ; eheese, hams and bacon, “""dull'; fowls, 2s 3s ; geese, 10s per pair. The attendance was good, but the, holiday feeling was very strong, and Ulfes of any'importance impossible, Horle Market—Air T. Bullock reports o fpr.4h| fortnight ending December 31 ; Ai%hljßaaaar, Burnett street, on Saturday, fit, there were 31 horses of the usual j 1 - deecri tion entered for sale, viz, draught light am ess horses, hacks, etc. There was a arge attendance, but the biddings; were rfot at all spirited, in fact one of the dudes' "sales I have had for some months I past. Out of the total number entered I Only a )ld.lo at the following prices, viz., medium draughts, LI2 10s, Ll 3 10s, L 18; light harness horses from L 8 to L 12.; hacks,; L 6 to Ll2. On Saturday, 31st December, there was an average atteni - •_ dance of farmers; contractors and others, butthe biddings were again anything but spirited, and it was very difficult indeed' to effect sales even at reduced prices. The entries for the day were 28 of the; usual description, out of which I only succeeded in disposing of 8, viz., medium draughts from Ll 6 to L2O ; light harness horse), LlO to Ll 4 ; hacks, L 5 to Ll2. . Then! were a , few superior draughts ' eiiter|jd,‘ but the biddings not reaching ■ " oiedeis’'limits, were passed in. On account of the General Manager of Railways, I soldi the lease of two sites, each 80£t. frontage by 100 ft deep, for ten years, commencing Ist January, 1882, at the Ohertsey Railway Station, at 5s per foot frontage, equal to L2O per annum each. ■saamßaßßßmnaaßßß
