CALEDONIAN SPORTS.
An error occurred in our report yesterday of these sports. We mentioned McFarlane as having fallen when close to the tape in the Haudicap Hurdle Race of . 440 yards; whereas it should have been'* Betts who fell. The mistake arose from; our confounding Betts with McFarlane throughout the race. ■ The following events were disposed of after we went to ( ‘ t press:— Irish Jig.—McLoughlin, 1; N. S.' Smith (78ft 7in), 1; J. Cunningham (76ft 4in), 2. ‘ Irish Reel.—N. Fitzgerald, 1; M. McLouglin, 2. .' Highland Fling.— J. Murray, 1; D. . Buchanan, 2. Best Dressed Highlander.—Geo. Kidd, 1 ; D.
