[per reuter’s agency.] Credited to the Nihilists. London, Dec. 26. The Standard to-day publishes a telegram stating that fully one-fourth of the city of Cronstadt has been destroyed by fire. The conflagration is further stated to have been the work of Nihilists.

In the crush and confusion which followed, over thirty persons were killed and a number seriously injured.
