Gibbons, brewer, was fined L2O and costs, for using an old stamp, the Magistrate holding that the penalty imposed was a fixed one, but recommended a rebate. Francis Muller and Tames O’Sullivan, publicans, were each fined L2O and costs for using wrong stamps. A Full Bench. G. Ruddenklan was duly installed as Mayor to-day, and gave an official banquet at the Oddfellows’ Hall this afternoon. At the City Court, Charles Vickers was 1 committed for trial for burglary. A Sad Spectacle. Mary Ann Weston, alias Smith, has been arrested by the police for drunkenness. They found her in the streets at a late hour, with a dead child in her arms. She was remanded pending an inquest.
