[per reuter's agency.] A Blow Up. London, Dec. 19. A disastrous explosion of fire damp occurred to-day at Abram Colliery, near Wigan, in Lancashire, by which if is feared that many lives will be lost. A large number of men were at work in the mine at the time the disaster occurred, and of these fully two hundred have not yet been recovered.. Later accounts to hand from the scene of the colliery near Wigan state that all the miners except forty have 'Been rescued, the mortality therefore being less than was at first expected. Illegal. A proclamation has been issued by the Irish Executive declaring the Ladies Land League to be an illegal organisation; ''.,, ■.. ; . ;';'.•.■ :.;:;.
