Cricket. —A match is to -be played to-morrow on the Ashburton Domain ground between thePrebbleton and-Ash-burton Clubs. Acknowledgment.— We to acknowledge with thanks the receipt of three exquisitely designed almanack cards irom Messrs Matson and Co., Christchurch. The cards are very tastefully got up, and the floral decorations give a most attractive appearance to those harbingers of the coming year. Invercargill Races.—A trip to Invercargill ought to be a pleasant thing for those who are in want of a~ holiday, especially at race time An -announcement re the races and the railway arrangements in connection .with them will be found in another column; “The Miller and His Men.”—The final rehearsal of the above by , the Amateur Dramatic Club comes off to-night at the Town Hall.
